This book really gives the reader a broad view of the subjects taught in business schools. It is complete and written in a way that makes it easy to understand. Of course, it doesn't replace an MBA but it's a good start. I recommend it!

I highly recommend "The Ten-Day MBA". It contains a wealth of valuable business information presented in a very easy-to-understand manner. I've successfully utilized many of the ideas; and the book has given me greater insight into many areas of business that I was previously not very familiar with. Unlike many other business books, it is also very entertaining, contains great examples, is easy to read-----and is a lot cheaper than two years of graduate school

Le livre explique bien effectivement ce qu'on apprend dans les écoles de management (écoles de commerce en france) dans les différentes disciplines. j'ai retrouvé de vieux souvenirs, tout y est, et bien expliqué. J'ai trouvé le livre ironique et drôle, un peu un livre des autodidactes contre les diplômés. cependant, les explications sur les différents domaines permettent effectivement je pense à quelqu'un qui n'a jamais suivi des cours de finance, marketing, etc d'acquérir des bases déjà très solides. et le style est suffisamment simple pour être compris par tous. En résumé : un bon achat.

I am a Wharton MBA graduate who will be teaching a survey course on business on the MBA level. To do this, I researched far and wide for the best book I could find to serve as a textbook and this beats all others hands-down. Thumbs up. Certainly, it is not a substitute for the in-depth manner by which these principles, concepts, theories, practices would be garnered by taking numerous courses needed to earn an MBA degree. It is not a substitute for earning an MBA degree. However, it will serve as a valuable source of material upon which to learn to some depth of the various business disciplines as you move into or early-on through earning an MBA degree. To serve you well post-degree as a reference relative a comprehensive view of business. Enabling one to go out into the business world with an interdisciplinary, synthesized knowledge of business' various disciplines upon which to draw upon and be effective, successful. This book delivers on its promise of a step-by-step guide to mastering the skills taught in America's top business schools. The best "guide" available.

Before getting this book, I was really considering getting an MBA. I already took MOOC courses from business schools, and I ordered the GMAT study book. I run an e-commerce business, and it has been doing pretty well. I learned a lot from just watching other people on YouTube and paying attention to the work they did in order to succeed. I am also a freelance writer, and I wanted to break out of my former genre and get into finance and business writing. At the time, I thought getting an MBA would be one of the only ways to be taken seriously in that setting.When I heard about The Ten Day MBA, I knew I wanted to at least see what it was all about. I realized that all of my independent research had already prepared me for pretty much everything that was covered in this book. It was just re-affirming what I already knew about business. I think it's a really good way to either open your eyes to how much you don't know, or in my case, help me calm down and realize that paying for the MBA would actually be a huge waste of time and money.

I buy a lot of books on business and sadly, most of the books I get usually don't give me any real information. The Ten Day MBA is different. I never got my MBA and have been running a business for the past two years. I read this book, divided into 10 chapters of the most basic information you need to know about business and all the sudden everything became clear. If you run a business or are thinking of starting a business, THIS IS THE BOOK YOU NEED TO READ!!! It will give you EXACTLY the information you've been missing. If you're stuck in your business, BUY, BORROW OR STEAL THIS BOOK!!! I promise you will not be disappointed.

After receiving my MBA, I looked for a book that best summarized the MBA knowledge base that I could use as a resource to review periodically to keep infrequently used knowledge fresh. This is the book. I read the 3rd addition and now read the 4th edition and will keep reading it as a best one stop shop for an MBA in one book. It is well written, concise and covers everything I covered in my MBA program. I read it in 8 days. 10 should not be a problem even if somewhat busy.I also recommend this book for those considering a MBA. If this book doesn't interest you then you should really consider whether you want to get an MBA or pursue another path in furthering your career.

Love the concept of this book and all the information it gives.Just be sure to get yourself the most recent edition, as THIS edition would likely seem dated by today's standards and methods of doing business.
